Does your coverage fit you?

National insurance awareness day is approaching quickly on June 28th. This day was created to encourage you to review your insurance policy and make sure it is still a good fit.

Insurance can often be forgotten until we need it. From home and auto to life or business insurance, it is there to cover you when you need it most. Take time today to review your policies and make sure you have the coverage you need.

Some reasons you may want to update your insurance include:

  • Your family is growing, you got married, had a child, adopted a child.
  • Your family is shrinking, you got divorced, have a child going away for college that won’t be using their car.
  • You are buying a new home.
  • You decide to buy a new car.
  • You want to be sure your family is taken care of even if you are not here any longer.
  • You have a business and want to be sure your coverages are correct for the service you provide.
  • You inherited a property/house, you did renovations to your house or property values in your area have gone up.

Do any of these apply to you?  When was the last time you updated your policy?

Every situation is different and things often happen unexpectedly. Knowing you’re secure for any type of loss can be comforting if the situation should arise. While insurance may not cover everything it lifts a heavy burden during the harshest life events. Whether it be property or a loved one, having help can take away a lot of stress and allow time to grieve.

Another reason to check on your insurance policy is to see if any new discounts or features have been added. Along with your life changing, your insurance company may be changing too. If you wait until it is time to renew to check you may be missing out on savings.

Here at John Scott Insurance Agency, we want to make sure you are well protected for your unique needs.  Call us and have a conversation with one of our team members to review your policy and discuss any changes you may not realize you should update. We are here to help!
